AI Club at Klizer – From Idea to Action

A few months ago, during a conversation with Aswathy Mohan, she shared a simple idea —
“Why don’t we start an AI Club within Klizer?”

It wasn’t presented as a big initiative.
No detailed roadmap. No long planning cycles.

Just a thought.

What stood out to me was what happened next.

She didn’t wait.

Within a short time, she brought the idea to life — forming the AI Club and starting bi-weekly sessions. That’s something I always value: speed of execution over perfection.

Today, the AI Club has become an important part of how we are building our AI culture at Klizer.

Every two weeks, the team comes together to learn from each other.

These are not theoretical sessions.

Each session is driven by someone from the team who:

  • Shares a real use case they worked on
  • Demonstrates how they used AI in their workflow
  • Talks about tools like Claude, Cursor, and others
  • Explains how AI helped reduce development time or simplify a process

What makes this special is the authenticity.

It’s not about showcasing polished demos.
It’s about sharing real experiences — what worked, what didn’t, and what can be improved.

That’s how learning actually happens.

Learning Beyond the Organization

Recently, a few members of our team attended an AI Dev Conference in Bangalore.

Instead of that knowledge staying with a few individuals, we’re bringing it back into the AI Club — where they’ll share insights, trends, and practical takeaways with the rest of the team.

This is something I strongly believe in:
Learning should never stay siloed.

A Bigger Vision in the Making

When I caught up with Aswathy again, she shared what she’s thinking next.

The vision is evolving:

  • Open the AI Club to people outside Klizer
  • Build a community around practical AI adoption
  • Create a platform to share real-world AI use cases
  • Eventually launch a podcast to bring these conversations to a wider audience

What started as an internal initiative is slowly shaping into something bigger.

Taking the First Step Outside

As an immediate step, we are planning to host our first in-person AI Club meetup in Chennai this April.

This will be open to anyone who is interested in:

  • Understanding how AI is actually used in real workflows
  • Learning from real use cases instead of just concepts
  • Connecting with people who are actively building with AI

If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to comment or reach out.

We’ll share more details on the date and venue soon.

Reflection

Building an AI-first culture is not about tools alone.

It’s about creating spaces where people can:

  • Experiment
  • Share openly
  • Learn from each other

Sometimes, all it takes is one person to take initiative.

And the rest follows.
